Description
I think I should add a background, but I cant think of one. He never mentioned it in the script.

I am going to a comic book convention called Wizard World Austin on the 23rd of this month.
I want to show some samples of my pencil work to comic companies to see if they will hire me.
From what I researched the best portfolios are small ones; 3 page story featuring single hero (Marvel or DC character), 3 page story featuring team (Marvel or DC), 3 page story featuring a small conversation (non super hero story characters).
Then a cover for each of the stories.
So in all 12 pages.
This is my first page/ cover. I found an original script I liked on the penciljack.com forums and it is 5 pages. I really like the characters and stories so I am going to go with it.
This is the first page to Howard the Duck X Deadpool. It is a spread that looks like a cover so that works for both.
I draw in non photo blue pencils and ink, but I used 4h pencil for this. I have been told that if you want to pencil then don't ink your work.
4h is an old friend, and using a lead holder seems to give me better results than the pencils. The lines are darker, and I am using less weight on the pencil.
Keeping the lines clean and readable was about 30% of the work on this drawing.

PAGE THREE (Five Panels)
Panel 1. Howard is using his quack-fu style to battle a four-armed warrior bearing a scimitar in each hand.
CAP:
Now
HOWARD:
This isn’t fair! This guy has four arms! Who the hell has four arms?!
Panel 2. Deadpool is fighting three of the warriors and looking over his shoulder at Howard.
DEADPOOL:
So says the talking, kung-fu duck cab driver.
Panel 3. Howard strikes his adversary in the groin with a vicious upward blow.
HOWARD:
It’s called quack fu, you Young Blood reject!
Panel 4. Deadpool is dispatching two more warriors. There aren’t any enemies left standing in the background.
DEADPOOL:
Watch it, General Gao’s. That’s my fourth wall and no one but me breaks it.
Panel 5. Deadpool is facing Howard while wiping off his sais. Howard is pointing past Deadpool and shaking a little. He is completely unaware that behind him is a seven foot tall Djiin with flaming eyes.
DEADPOOL:
Should be smooth sailing from here on in.
HOWARD:
Um…Wade.
